Is the egg broken?

It's got poop on it

Congratulations on the 4th egg. Beauty, you can stop now. Please don't feel pressured to break Mariah's record! phew

I don't think so...hard incubation is well underway

Do We Have A Pip?

Pip in one egg at the Cathedral of Learning (photo from the National Aviary falconcam at University of Pittsburgh)

Look!  I think I see a pip in that second egg.

If I’m right, hatching can’t be far behind!

I find the difference in the colors of the eggs fascinating!

Although rebec7caring was closest time-wise, we had decided it was closest without going over. So that would be falconatic1-Debbie Z.

But, since we made the "rules" I'm making an executive decision...they both won!

Congratulations!

Well, half of us missed it.   crying

Looking like maybe she is done?
Not by a long shot. We have until 2:07 tomorrow morning for the outside window. We're only at 55 hours now. And the pattern seems to be a bit longer between later eggs.

Beauty doing her shark imitation

Her shadow reminds me of Lightning McQueen.

If it's not too late, I'd like to guess 3:28 pm on Tuesday, April 23 for the ultimate egg.

Since it was posted in time, you're in Margaret! Good luck everyone!

After going back and seeing how seldom the eggs were left uncovered since #3 was laid, I'm beginning to think 3 eggs may be it for this year.  It seems like incubation has started.

Just a reminder...hard incubation begins as the next to last egg is laid Wink

I was going to say that too-the penultimate egg.

Of course they are free to make a liar out of me...  gum
