Wow, that was quick? It's great!
She says that like it's nothing. I failed art in high school. My stick figures are unrecognizable.

Yes, I know my talents are elsewhere, but still...

I was actually a bit too far east to see Beauty on OCSR, at one of the few picnic tables they have set out for the season at the library.  I looked up there as I was setting out for the library, but it was around 11:45, when she wasn't there.

Love those picnic tables!

I saw it on TSB at about 12:10.  Didn't see it land there, though, so not sure how long it was there.  I'm thinking not long, probably just a couple of minutes.  Then about five minutes after I saw it, it took off and flew east over the river.

Then it was one of the tiercels. Beauty was on OCSR at the time...

She was up there from around 11:30 to 12:40 having left there for a few minutes at around 11:45.

In my opinion, this is the same unbanded tiercel that courted Beauty a month ago.  Attached are two pics of UT on crossroads. One taken March 10, the other yesterday April 14.  I don't see a difference.  The markings are the same.

I agree...it does appear to be the same bird.

It's a poor design if falcons can disable it. I'll bet we're not getting the full story.

Indeed...

" Phone user Gill Bullen, from Highfield, has had little or no signal since Tuesday.

She said: “It never occurred to me a bird could wipe out phone and Internet access – it is just brilliant.

“My husband thinks it is just a damn good excuse, much better than the usual ones.”

From what I understand peregrines do not get egg bound like pet birds do.

Is it late? Not really. Last year was late. I posted this 10 days ago...

And just for the record for anyone starting to feel anxious about the date...

Mariah laid a 1st egg as late as 4/14
Rhea Mae is late this year...4/1 is the latest she has ever laid a 1st egg. And Erin is late too...she's always within a day of Rhea Mae.
Harlequin was laid 4/21 or 4/23
Jemison & Callidora were laid 4/8-4/15

We are at the tail end of the typical egg laying window for the northeast, but it's not written in stone. There are other nests just starting now.

We don't know what's "normal" for Beauty because we have yet to have a "normal" season with her.

But all signs are pointing to her preparing to lay an egg. I will leave you with a pic I saw in one of my middle of the night checks last night...please observe her posterior...
