One good thing about the bizarre weather-my Peace roses managed to bloom before the Japanese beetles got them for the first time ever!



And the House Finches have fledged their first clutch of the season! Too dark to get a pic of the babies, but Dad was showing them how to land and eat from my feeders!

She sure clipped him good! Thanks and cute names!

Monorail passengers at DisneyWorld had a 45 minute ride between stops because a squirrel got on the track and the woman driving couldn't bring herself to run it over. They made progress a few feet at a time, honking at the squirrel to continue further down the track.

That crop is so full it looks like she has a growth!

And also note the berme of pebbles toward the back.  NCAFalcon & I were chatting the other day about pebble picking. A falconer in California has observed his captive breeding falcon's pebble picking. He has observed she drags the pebbles and builds a berme of pebbles around herself, perhaps to keep in the heat.  She may eat a few, but it's deliberate behavior, not just random boredom.

Look at the size of her crop!
