I was disappointed when I woke up to no new egg-guess she decided to wait for me!

Beauty just put Unity's egg under her.

The critter in the earlier pic today appears to be a baby 'dillo.

So I was probably right-just wasn't thinking baby

Food for Beauty again DC has feathers stuck in his talons then his beak.

I thought that's what happened!  Glad the cam caught it!

well there is Orville a Rock and Unity's egg. She (Unity) laid it right before Archer was injured and then she was killed by a car.

It is very bleached out now. You don't realize how much until you see the new egg.

Really starting to doubt myself now-front left looks much bigger than the one in back tonight. Might be a later hatch just catching up to her sisters in size.

It's fun trying to guess, though!

Love seeing Beauty on the egg -- but really weird/sad to see poor Unity's abandoned egg back in the corner -- will B push it out, do you suppose?

They seem to be ignoring it.  I would think if they wanted it out they would have done so by now. But who knows.

And, as I said that, Dot.Ca was rolling it around a bit. Still kept it in the corner away from the new egg-then he sat on the new one for a second!

this looks to me like something dead with a tail that the owlets tried to eat.
I caught the last frame showing it clearly. Opinions?

That long stiff tail & shiny skin makes me think armadillo, but they've much bigger than that.  No other clue.

Sometimes, the pip-squeaks are mis-diagnosed. 

I am reserving judgement on the one front left here.  Haven't seen his feet & ankles, so could be a large boy or small girl.
