A comment by Fred on one of the blogs I visit...
"Only the government can conclude that if you cut a foot off of the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of the same blanket, you’ll have a longer blanket."

Takes me a solid month to readjust. It's not just the waking up same time regardless of what it's called, it's the ready for bed an hour "early" too. My late nights at work I'm ready to hit the pillow before I even leave my desk. I won't debate whether it had a reason once upon a time, but this is an idea that's long past useful.

Yankee banded 42/Y black/black 2008 Niagara Gorge. Now that was a search! Finally found it on the CPF site for Niagara Falls...Sage doesn't have his bands listed anywhere that I could find. And BB, just for the record, is N/58 black/green.

We are planning on doing maintenance on the cameras at the Times Square building this weekend starting early Saturday afternoon. The cameras will be turned off during this period. They should be on again later in the afternoon.
Additional work may need to be done on Sunday. We'll make that determination Saturday.
Aw man! You're not gonna let us watch! Bummer! But seriously...thank you for all you do!

Tibetan Bear In Da Zooカメ子網戸に登る.MOVNinja Turtle Гусь и ТрамвайCommuter goose Real owl caught in fake Halloween spider's webMarin animal care workers are warning about the dangers of sticky Halloween decorations after an owl was found caught in an artificial spider web in San Rafael. The quarter-pound western screech owl was found alive by a resident caught in the strands of a fake greenish-white web strung from a tree in a yard on Riviera Drive in East San Rafael, said Carrie Harrington, a spokeswoman for the Marin Humane Society. A humane society officer transported the owl to WildCare in San Rafael, she said. "It could have been worse if we weren't called out," she said. "We were able to respond quickly." The owl appeared to have been stuck in the web for several hours and was dehydrated, but was in otherwise good condition, Piazza said. WildCare treated the owl with intravenous fluids and plan to release it in the same yard where it was found. The family there has removed the fake spider web material.

It's supposed to get to 54 by Wednesday... Just looking at your pictures, Ei, and lots of leaves on the trees. Do you have many downed trees and power outages? This is truly a freak event! Hope all is well . Sunny and 60 up here! :-) My power blinked a bunch last night but never went out. I'm lucky...apparently a lot of trees down & outages around me. I had to cut the rose bush that fell over the walk but it needed pruning anyway. The sun is out and the snow is melting-the oak & dogwood are fine.
