I don't like the looks of this at all.  scared blue This nesting site has been awful from the beginning, and I just hope this remaining chick survives if he's not being allowed to move freely and develop normally.

I really enjoyed that! thanx for posting.

During the 16th century, a rather notable amateur falconer named William Shakespeare became enamored of falconry. The playwright loved training birds of prey so much that he began adding falconry references to his plays.

crying That's unbelievable and a real disgrace!!! Sad I hope they throw the book at those murdering youths, but I won't hold my breath.

Dot in PA

Looks like the three youths who murdered 15 Laysan albatrosses and destroyed 17 eggs and 17 nests in Hawaii in December of 2015 may get off easy, unfortunately.

thumbsup All great names! I was slightly disappointed that the name Marielle, which was my favorite, did not make the final cut. Can a non-chosen name be submitted again for another year?

I couldn't agree more! It's a great story but I sure hope Lebanon will stop the mass shootings of raptors so they are all safe migrating. The whole thing reminds me of the slaughter of raptors over nearby Hawk Mountain in days of yore, to say nothing of present-day Malta.

Dot in PA

The African-Eurasian Flyway – one of the most important migratory routes in the entire world – runs straight through Lebanon, and it is here that the journey ends for around 2.6 million birds as they are felled from the sky by irresponsible hunters.

*This is very disturbing but what a GREAT LOVE story!!  heart

Is it possible she has no brood patch yet, since she's laid no eggs? That might explain why she isn't incubating.
