What was that bright light for just a moment above FCT?

So awesome! I saw Mariah do this with Isaura. This year we were pleasantly surprised when Mike dropped off food with Sundara. That was a first for me.

At the same time, Beauty was on pan cam.

This past weekend we were talking about falcon watchers we hadn't seen for awhile. Ginha was among those we were missing. Jeanne looked into it and found out that Ginha had passed away in 2016.

Ginha was a good friend to us and the falcons. She, and her husband Dave, were frequent visitors to Rochester. Dave, I am very sorry for your loss.

Ginha is now flying free with the falcons she so dearly loved.

I believe that Joyce suggested that name for the female over on the NJ live streaming video chat.  I don't believe they give them official names when they band.  But I could be wrong.

Most of my pictures from the weekend are really for my personal memory only...my cameras can't get as close as the photographers in the group. But I do have 2 just for Carol.

The Great Race was passing through Rochester this morning while we were on watch. Carol saw one go by with flags on the back, but she missed getting a picture.

Well, guess what I saw on my way home?

 

Not only did I pass it and get a picture from the car, they pulled into the rest area for gas just as I was finishing filling up!

Two juvies back at the nest box tonight!

We've been following the weather forecast for this weekend and it sadly doesn't look good. Looks like rain both Saturday and Sunday. I keep hoping it will change.

We plan on meeting on Aqueduct St, aka "the hole", since the juvies are still staying close to the Times Square Bldg. Plan on meeting there around 8 am and we plan on bringing breakfast to share.

Hopefully it won't be a total rainout. Be sure to bring an umbrella and rain gear!

Can't wait to see all that are coming to visit!
