This was actually my tweet from early this morning (around 6:45 am), which did not show up on the forum.  Joyce told me she didn't get it either.  So a big, HMMMMMMMM!  Is Twitter acting up?   ???

Here in Southern MD, even Rich is cheering for the Bills!  Of course, we ARE selfish, since he's Giants, I'm Cowboys and the Eagles are NFC East!

My last tweet did not come through.  Kathy O, Joyce, Brian and I enjoyed an evening watch.  It was warm and a very large, almost full moon floated over the building east of Lot 77 where we sat in our lawn chairs.  Unity was on one of the stills in front of us. 

When the mosquitoes came out, it was time to leave.  As we were packing up the cars, Unity flew over to the blue bldg and landed on the top SW corner.  On the way out, I drove by the blue bldg and saw Unity take off, flying low over the KP complex landing on her favorite hunting bldg. at the west end.

That's where I left her, wishing her a successful hunt.

We ALL started out as lurkers.  I remember when I left my first post on the Kodak Birdcam discussion board.  I just stared and stared at the post, wondering if anyone would take notice and then...........wow!  Someone answered my question!  I was so excited.

Come on everyone!  It's time to leave that first post.  Ask any question about the Falcons.  If possible, it will be answered.

[I've seen a bald eagle being chased by a much smaller peregrine falcon, and a couple of times the battle ventured into merlin air space, the dove-sized hawk succeeding in chasing both birds away - a real sight to see. It was loud and it was fast. I couldn't keep the smaller hawks in my binocular field as they were diving so fast.]

Mak and I saw what I'm pretty sure was a Merlin today downtown on Andrews St.  It flew over us heading toward the FCT.  I was telling her how feisty these smaller falcons could be.   

It seems there may be another, younger Mariah out there.

Are we still tracking Quest and if we are, will there be updates in the future like we used to have?  Just wondering if she's still in TO.

Kris - We're still getting readings from her transmitter thru the DEC and last I heard, she was still in the nest site area, usually within a mile.  Not sure how often these readings are being received & reported.
