And Beauty left NB. Did he leave KP
I left a few moments before 8:45 pm and Archer was at KP with Unity preening on a still. He could have left right after I did. It only takes him a few minutes to fly downtown and with the high winds behind him, it could have been faster.

Thank you for the great pictures Bonnie & so glad the transmitter is being reused. Hope wasn't injured was she or did they just decide to use it on her for tracking. And I see Skye had it before - I do not know about that story - is there a place with that info I can read about.
Skye was the 2005 fledgling who was given a transmitter. It was a project of the Migration Research Foundation. Sadly, she only made it to early September 2005. She died in Lucknow, ON. You can find the full details on the MRF Peregrine page(Yes, Carol, we really do need to knuckle under & get the history project on track) (I know.

I am also wondering where Beauty is. I hope we get a report from the on-the-scene watchers tonight. B was last seen before 5 pm tonight is what I am gathering from the reports. Is that correct? But she has not been seen since then? But looking at watcher reports, it seems that Archer is bonding more to Unity, and Beauty is or has been rejecting Archer? Sad at all of this is, it is fascinating to watch. . We are so used to watching them on camera that it is hard to not "see" what is going on-- especially at this time of year when it is hatching time/even banding time during other years!
We may never know all the answers to this year's happenings, but it is one for the archives!
By now you'll have seen Beauty is on her favorite perch...5th column on Xerox south side. The watchers are stretched pretty thin right now. Keep in mind that we're not seeing everything...as much time as Archer has spent at KP today, he's been pretty much at TS full time for the past few days. He's just bonding like any peregrine would with his mate(s) at this point in the year. Whether any of it will produce more eggs remains to be seen. But they're all just doing what peregrines do. Agreed Ei! and remember this is a holiday weekend. Yet more drama on a holiday weekend. What is up with that! Many Watchers are not available that would normally be out and about. I remained at KP because two falcons were there. Joyce said that she would check on Beauty when she dropped off MAK. I'm really glad she found her. We could sure use help if any locals would like to volunteer. Man I wish I were a local! I wish you were too Donna! You would make a wonderful Falcon Watcher! Thanks, it's what I want to be when I grow up! You have to be growed up? No one told me that!
