We are working with Kodak.  Currently we have been given temporary permission to use a closer lot which gives us a better view of the scrape area. Thank you Kodak!     When we know for sure there are eggs and IF eyases hatch, we'll deal with it then.

Of course Beauty and Archer and their young are very important.  That's a given.  The good thing is, if there are young at KP, the eggs will hatch much later than the eggs at Times Square.  That will really help when Fledge Watch begins.

My understanding is that no one can get very close to this building so how will you do a fledge watch?  Just asking.

I agree totally with you Donna.  What's happening is in no way Lady Pefa's "fault".  It saddens me when posts come through blaming her for what's happening.  This is just the way it is.  A few of the Watchers are keeping a close eye on what's going on at KP.  Today Dana and I observed behavior by LP in the PPH, which I am now officially calling the scrape, which leads us to believe that there is at least one egg and maybe more on the way.  If there are any hatches at KP, these young ones will be Mariah and Kaver Great Grand Kids and I know that all of the Watchers will keep an eye on them.   


I still feel absolutely sorry for LP. She must say every time he leaves!

It took us weeks of tweeking the two inside cameras to make them line up like that.  Every hour someone had to go out during the harsh winter days to move one left, then right, then up, then down, then left, then right.............  Well, you get the picture.  Hahahahahahaha!

Perhaps it's just that I've been unobservant, but have cams 2 and 3 always been that way? It looks like Archer is sitting in an ell-shaped box, looking at his own behind in front of him.

I agree Ei!  These two have been very faithful to each other over the years.   

Hunter is from a strong line too...he's half brother of Erie (Beauty's father), Leopold & Roosevelt.  We can only hope they had some success before they were identified.  They have been a faithful pair-some couples are just meant to care for each other.

Ranger and Hunter have been together for a long time, always in the Toronto area.  I believe they've changed nesting locations quite frequently and that they may have been at Mt Sinai Hosp for a couple years.

As far as we know, Ranger and Hunter have never had a successful hatch.  There have been suspicions that one or the other is infertile.  I would absolutely love to see her finally have a young one to raise.    Her legacy is strong and important.  She is the grandaughter of Victoria and Ponce-Kingsley from Toronto, daughter of Mariah and Cabot-Sirocco from Rochester.  

I knew she was a daughter of Mariah and C-S but wondered what her history has been since she left the nest. Has she always been in Toronto with Hunter? Where was their original nest site if this is a new place for them?

Quick Update:  Kathy O, Dana and Lou joined me.  Archer flew into the PPH and Lady Pefa joined him.  He flew out the back of the PPH and ended up flying towards the north.  LP flew up to the tall still.  We all left around 8:15 pm.  A had not returned and LP remained on the tall still.  No visit by the juvie from last night. - Carol P.
