Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Pictures from the Rfalconcam cameras

There is always the possibility that there was a 2nd Peregrine out of view, while we were watching the one on the still. But I don't think so. Believe me, NONE of us want it to be Archer visiting Lady Pefa. But if it is, we need to be prepared. It does happen. We need to keep monitoring both locations and reporting what we see. Brian H, believes that the Migration has been held up. Hopefully, soon, the migrating Falcons will stream through and hopefully one of the Tiercels will join Lady Pefa at KP.

Yep, I did call it the Pigeon Box. It's a big metal, hollowed out box. The Pigeons and the Pefas enter from below and sit on spots near the bottom of the box. I saw Lady Pefa go up inside about a week or so ago and was able to see her tail hanging down with the scope. lol It's the little building type structure with the orange railing on it below the slanted grey shoot thing at the east end of it. If that makes sense. Actually, i think it does! And the grey thing at the top of the slanted chute is the -carol, did you call it the pigeon chute? or pigeon box?

Just checked with Dana. Lou believes that it is an air compressor at the Democrat & Chronicle (D&C) that is located next to the Times Square bldg (across Broad St., same side). We noticed it yesterday, but it was quiet this morning. Started up again this afternoon. Hopefully it will stop soon and I can't believe it will continue during the week when people are in that building working. VERY ANNOYING!!!

After checking out and seeing the Falcon at KP, Dana and I headed downtown. At first we only had Beauty on the Times Square bldg. She flew down to the nest box and loud ee-chupping filled the air. She did this for quite a long time and we wondered if Archer was near by. Beauty took off and headed east over the river. That's when Dana yelled to me that there were 3 Falcons! I quickly looked up to see three Pefas flying over the river, east of the Times Square bldg.
It was impossible to tell if the 3rd was a male or female. There didn't seem to be a lot of aggression between them, just a pushing out of the territory by A&B. Archer returned to the nest box to take up the guard position. Beauty and the 3rd Falcon headed north down the river. After awhile, Beauty returned to the Times Square bldg.
All was quiet after that and when we left, both A&B had settled on the Times Square bldg. The Watchers will definitely keep watching.

Really frustrating when you're trying to post a pic of A&B's first egg!

To Shaky and all the team members involved in reformatting this site -- thank you! The Home Page is awesome! The entire Falcomcam is a joy to peruse. I've always been in awe of your dedication, but you outdid yourselves with this one. Please note I also include in this thanks -- the dedicated watchers on the street, and of course the stars of this site -- the PeFas! ...those with us and those far and near, and those in our memories and thoughts.
Very well said Margaret.
