MAK! What a busy morning you have had. (As have others we know and love...)

Was someone else out with MAK this morning?

Actually it was a long time.  M&K would start copulating on the first day that Kaver returned.  I really expected to see Archer and Beauty copulate yesterday at the latest.   happy

I am very sure that it was Archer and Beauty that I saw on the Kodak Tower.  I believe that Archer was eating up on the launchpad while Beauty was lookin on.  If you'll notice, I didn't ID either Pefa in that report, because I did not believe it was Mr. T, but I couldn't be 100% sure.  I tried to follow them, but most of my routes were blocked because of the St. Patricks Day Parade.  It was driving me nuts, not  being able to get downtown.  So glad that Archer made it home.

Some of the Watchers plan to get out early tomorrow to keep an eye out for Mr T.  Hope he moves just a little north and finds Lady Pefa.

I'm guessing it was Archer and Beauty that Carol saw on KO.  I have a sneaky suspicion the Pefa Larry saw this morning at PC was Archer.

Just before I left, LP stooped off of the catwalk, flying low heading west towards the blue bldg.  I just caught sight of a bird flying in front of her.  The chase was on.  Too bad trees got in my way and I didn't see where she went and I couldn't find her.  By that time it was starting to snow harder, making it hard to see anything.  Keep hoping to see a mate for her sometime soon.

This is an especially critical time.  The Watchers will be watching for Archer's return.  We're really hoping that there won't be a territorial battle between the two Tiercels, but we are aware of this possibility.  We'll be Watching!

Great news Donna.  Glad Jeff made it home safely.

Yes he did Ruth. He made it home to Oregon no too long after the quake. Thanks for asking and I'm sorry I forgot to post this. He has a lot of sad memories.

Then, when the neighbors call 911 and I am brought to the psych center for a consult, I might see the Pefas hysterical

If it was Rhea Mae, no wonder the poor SS Hawk was hiding.  Thankfully he escaped to tell tales of his near miss with a big bad momma Pefa.  Mariah & Kaver would be proud of their daughter.   happy

Ahhhh, Linda and Craig.  I'm so sorry for your loss of brave and beautiful Scratch.  I have such fond memories of her.  Thank you for sharing her with us.  She'll be missed.   Sad
6959  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Seneca Sighted at Brookpark Road Bridge with a Mate! on: 08-Mar-11, 05:32:21 PM
We never witnessed copulation between Lady Pefa and the black banded male, but they were sure keeping close.  The next weeks are going to be very interesting.

Archers coming its just that his time table is later than what we are used to with Kaver. Both years he showed up around the same time (I remember being worried last year). I too think Mr T is cute so he needs to go and find a lady of his own. I really don't want him and Archer to fight. He could go up to the lady on the crane by the lake.

Yeah I said that to MAK, he can go see the Charlotte falcon, it's just getting him there. So many single gals and he picks Beauty.

Or to the lovely Lady Pefa down the road a bit!

Her man never came back either or were they never really a couple?

I would like to think that Seneca has moved on to a better nest site.  These Pefas are pretty smart about that.  Bad nest site and loss of young probably sent her on her way.  I truly hope she shows up at a safer nest site sometime soon. - Carol P.
