Hey Suzanne & Don! Hope you're both doing well. Thanks for the report on the Syracuse pefas.  Don and I were in Syracuse Saturday and looked for the Syracuse Peregrines. We found Fancy right away on top of a building downtown, but she flew off when we blinked! We drove around and found her again on a building at the corner of Washington and Warren. She kept looking around and preening, and then Groucho flew into sight. He was stirring up the local pigeons. He flew behind the buildings and then soared so high we lost sight of him. We watched Fancy for a while, hoping Groucho would return, but we didn't see him.
On our way out of town on Route 690 a peregrine flew over the car! When I looked backed I saw what I think was Groucho heading for the buildings in the downtown area, maybe to rejoin Fancy.

The Falcon I saw come off the KO Twr just before 7 a.m. was moving quick, heading SW, not directly towards the Times Square bldg. Seemed to be after something, but I couldn't see anything. The other day, I saw them kakking and diving on a RTH on the Kodak Bldg 10 and we know that there have been Coopers Hawks and Kestrels in the area. So they may have gone after one that wandered too close to the TS Bldg. When I left work at 3:30 pm, two Pefas were on top of the TS Bldg sitting next to each other. All was quiet. Carol P.  Lots of e-chupping Just a few minutes ago, I heard a crash at nest. Something was there, maybe in the well. Sounded like fighting. Not sure what it was but could not see on cam. Sounds like pigeon being attacked. May have been in the well but it was LOUD!! Then a few minutes later B and T showed up.  |
