Hey elsiep!  Shaky is our "control the camera" guru.  Once he gets tired of all the good weather he's currently experiencing, I'm sure he'll answer all your questions.  Oh, and thanks for all your support.   clap

How far in advance can I book a time? (when is fledging due to begin? I'll take that week... rofl  until the bill arrives scared blue )

Step 3, I see a "search" button that doesn't appear to do anything.  Maybe it should do the same as "book"?  I haven't gone any further, yet.

Should be a popular (and profitable) feature.  Well done!  2thumbsup

Mr T on Mercury this morning.

It is always fun to go back to the archives and look for cam shots of what we see in person.  I decided to get out of my warm car (16 degrees outside) and get a picture. Mr. T's back was to Carol and I, so I decided to take a picture of Beauty on the iBeam of OCSR first. When I moved my camera back to get a picture, he took off.  Figures! The best part was when I turned around, Carol was laughing. So many times these falcons do that to us.  This is my only pic of Mr T today.

Just a little Falcon Watcher humor.   laugh

I am so glad to hear that your friend is ok Donna.  Definitely sending thoughts and prayers to those affected by this horrible earthquake.   Sad

wnyfalconfan (Joyce): Brian reports: Male on Xerox. Wierd. He's above the 10th column not on roof top but on slanted edge!

Brian says he has "never seen a bird on that slanted edge B4"  You are right Carol, this is different behavior. Brian says - Maybe Beauty is getting ready to mate?

I think it might be too early for that, but you never know.  We'll definitely keep an eye on the situation.

With so many nest sites in Buffalo, they are going to need a lot of help on their Watches.  If you live in or near Buffalo, please consider helping out.  You can leave a message here or contact Sage.  Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.  Those young fledglings can get into so much trouble on those first flights!
Carol, maybe you and Joyce and Kathy should take  your wonderful pictures and slide shows to the media in Buffalo.  Put the pictures in the Buffalo News, on their website, on the news programs.  Maybe it just needs to be publicized a bit more in Buffalo.

That's a great idea Margaret!

Any U can positively ID from photos?

Hey Big Frank.  Sorry to say we were too far away in each case to get any kind of ID.  It was bitter cold, so we did most of our watching from inside a warm car.  Hopefully, when the weather gets a little warmer, we'll attempt to get ID's.

Brian reported:

5:04pm -1 falcon on rail, 1 on ledge below
5:17pm -1 on SW corner of HSBC and the other on SE corner
5:21pm - Both falcons left heading west towards Mercury or TS
5:27pm -1 falcon on 5th column Xerox

Interesting behavour.  It's been awhile since they've been seen on those buildings.

I started a Buffalo Falcon News 2011 Topic, 2010 was locked.

Well, since this is all about the Buffalo Falcons, this seemed the appropriate spot for it.

Kathy O, Lisa McK and I decided to visit Buffalo, NY today and we're really glad we did.  At the end of the day, we saw 7 different Peregrine Falcons.  Check out my pics and report here.  No sign on needed.

Enjoy!
