This mornings watch was short but sweet! I arrived earlier than usual so I could walk over to under the elevator shaft of the OCSR building. Yesterdays watch with Joyce included seeing a falcon fly up in there so we wanted to confirm that someone was sleeping there at night. I'm sorry to say I...
Link: http://rfalconcam.com/falconwatching/?p=1199Ok, let me get this straight. She flies UP an elevator shaft?? This one needs a visual assist... OK-the white structure on the right side of the building-once upon a time there was an exterior elevator that went up & down there. The larger structure at the top is the "elevator shaft" the falcons fly into. Ei Actually there is still a working elevator that uses this elevator shaft. In fact, the elevator was up inside the top section yesterday. Carol P.

No recent reports from Terry, but where her husband works on South Ave, is in the middle of Archer and Beauty's territory. Not very far from the Times Square Bldg. I usually drive by that building when I look for the downtown Pefas. I think the year Terry's husband saw one of them eating at the loading dock, he was pretty sure it was a juvenile. That was a few years back. Carol P. I have said this before (sorry) but a few years ago, we did have reports of falcons off of South Ave and around MCC. I have to wonder if we have a nesting pair -- or if this is our nesting pair that just becomes more visible in winter
I remember that Jeanne. Carol also posed the same question, and I am wondering about that possibility too. Or, stretching it a bit...do we have an unbanded pair that has come south from a northern city like Montreal? Hmmmm...any pairs up in Canada that fit our despcription? Not sure about Canada falcons but we might want to check with Terry from Wild Wings. Her husband had seen falcons near where he works (off South Ave). Not sure if he has recently
