On live streaming video. First Archer flew in with prey. Beauty landed behind him for a split second and took off. Archer brought the food up to the eyases and looked like he was going to feed them. Then he took off and left the food. Callidora claimed it.
I could hear the adults kaking in the background.

Don't blame the messenger. I reported everything that was in the Falcon Watch blog entry.
Wow! Yarak actually spoke by his/her/itself? This is a first, isn't it? Marcia - I usually type: Rochester Falcon Watcher: Carol P. at the top of the watch report.

Nerve wracking! Is Callidora the largest offspring ever from Rochester? I remember Gahastey being very large too. Hard to believe a girl that size will be able to fly in the next week or so.
Dot in PA Dot, Gahastey, Isaura and Aconcagua were big girls and all fledged successfully. The strange this is that Aconcagua was banded as a male and ended up being the biggest fledgling that year.

And of course now that they are back in the nest box in plain view of 2 cameras, Camera 1 decides to work again. shaky, they're just really really smart, and have figured out how to sabotage a cam here and there to get some privacy. wouldn't you? Yeah, they're always looking at the cameras, studying them, trying to figure them out.

All is well. I went downtown from 4-4:30 pm. Susan C, Joyce and Brian were on top of the South Ave. garage keeping an eye on them. From there, they have a direct view of the inside of the nest box. Both eyases were there.
Archer and Beauty were flying around alot. At 4:30 pm, Beauty flew out over HSBC to meet Archer coming in with food. She flew with it directly to the nest box, but for some reason, she took it back out and cached it on the base of the Mercury statue.
That's when I had to leave. Hopefully we'll hear more from Susan, Joyce and Brian and any other Watchers that go downtown tonite.

Where are you standing?
Susan, Joyce and Brian H are currently on top of the South Ave Garage, which gives them a direct view into the nest box.

More information about the Fledge Watch Meeting on Saturday.
Hi Watchers, We will be meeting on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM at the Central Library on South Ave. When you ener the main door on the South Ave. side of the new building, which is on the SE corner of Broad and South Ave., go straight back to the Kay Gleason Auditorium which is across from Simply Crepes.
I will have coffee for all somewhere near the corner of Exchange and Broad St. at 8:00 AM, if you want to hang out and watch the falcons. Be a good conservationist and bring your travel mug.
