Morning, Everyone!

Assuming all is well and the volcanic ash does not thwart my plans, I will be offline for a while as I head home to Rochester to visit my family. So cross your fingers for me on Tuesday!! I'd love to join some falcon-watchers at some stage during me stay, so if anyone can tell me when and where they usually meet, I'd like to know. Gonna miss everyone on the forum, tho! How long will it be "live"? I'll try to check in from home but won't always have computer access... how odd is THAT?! (My Dad reckons that, if you've got a phone book, you're all set!)

Safe trip Bobbie!  May the gentle breezes bring you and your gas hawk safely across the big pond.  Oh, and bring some warm clothing.  It's going to be a cool week, especially the nights.  50's, 60's during the day and 30's, 40's overnite.  and don't tell anyone, we had a bit of snow on the rooftops yesterday morning and this morning there were two Canada Geese on my neighbors roof!  Now that was an unusual sight!   

Nice pics Paul!  From all the white wash in the 2nd picture, it certainly looks like they've been sitting up there quite a lot.  You'll have to let us know if you see any eyases.

Sounds like the storm is finally making its' way into Rochester.  I can hear thunder in the distance.  A cold front is moving in and we have a high wind warning for tomorrow with gusts over 55 mph.  It's going to be a windy one tomorrow. 

[Maybe that was what Mark was talking about this afternoon. Lots of flying in and out of nest box. Any watchers catch that? There were no tweets about it. Hmmm]

From the "Large White Building" downtown I could see a lot of activity.  Many birds flying around the Times Square Building.  This was mid-morning.  No way without binoculars could I tell if there were some battles going on, but a very large concentration of birds for sure today.

I don't think any Watchers were out at that time.

It certainly looks like it.  Peregrines are not the neatest eaters I'm afraid.

Bad news - the Peregrine is already the national bird of Angola.  Puts it out of consideration, by their lights.

Lucky Angola.  Should have figured that the Peregrine would be someone's national bird.

I can't believe they wouldn't choose the Peregrine Falcon.  It's a fighter, coming back from the brink of extinction and there are multiple ambassadors nesting within the city of Toronto.  PICK THE PEREGRINE!!!  

Doesn't even sound like it's in consideration...the NERVE!  Is there a Canadian Red Tail Foundation?  I think NOT!

OK, who do we have to contact before it's too late?
