It's definitely lower than the nestbox. I think she can, but I'll have to check that out. The view is quite nice from Mercury's foot and it's much more comfortable than the money bag. I imagine to would be...more contoured and all that Still trying to get a picture in my head...can Beauty see into the nestbox from Mercury? Or is he down lower?

The view is quite nice from Mercury's foot and it's much more comfortable than the money bag. I hope the eggs hatch soon and the watchers start returning, as there's not much activity outside lately.
Perhaps, while we wait, you could enlighten us as to whether the apparent recent preference for Mercury's foot (other than fond memories) over Mercury's money bag is, in fact, the case.

I guess it goes without saying that someone is trying to get in touch with Doug and Rolf?
Yes, I'm in contact with Doug. He sent me an email about it late last night and said he's keeping a close eye on the situation. He'll let us know if he see's Quest again. I asked him to get a picture if he could.

We're in the process of checking where Quest was yesterday. It may not be until later today. We know that she has been in that area before. I'm so happy that Doug, at Port Colborne, now has a new monitor and will be able to keep a close eye on what's happening in the nest box. When Lisa, Kathy, Dana and I visited this site (when Freedom was there), Doug and Rolf took us up to the break room where the monitor is. The workers are avid Falcon Watchers. For those not familiar with the Port Colborne nestsite, that was where Freedom, M&K's first son, was located until a couple years ago. Freedom's whereabouts are unknown at this time. Archer, our current male, was born at this site.

Great News! I'm not sure we've ever had news of one of Rhea Mae and Tiago's young after they left Toronto. I do believe that Stormin was a small male, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll have to check my pics when I get home. Thanks for posting this Carly and of course you got it in the right section. All news of Mariah and Kaver offspring, including any of their offspring and so on and so on........ belong here. This is Rhea and Tiago's offspring from last year so I put it here, if it's the wrong place feel free to move it !!! Stormin Spotted Not Far From HomeApril 18, 2010 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre Frank Butson Reports: Thanks to an email from my friend Leslie Kinrys,I was alerted to a posting on the Tommy Thompson Park (Leslie Street Spit)banding station blog which reported seeing a banded Peregrine Falcon for most of one day perched in a tree, near their banding station. This sighting took place sometime between April 7th and April 13th. The band number was clearly seen and photographed(a photo may be added later) which was black over black,30/Y. CPF was quickly able to provide the identity of this bird. The Peregrine was named Stormin, who was banded in Toronto at The Sheraton Centre Hotel on May 28th 2009. It’s great to hear back about one of the Peregrines which CPF helped band and is most rewarding for the volunteers who helped take care of the Peregrines during fledging time and the staff at the Sheraton Centre Hotel itself, who are such good stewards of their Peregrine family.
