Good catch Donna. The skies above Rochester are filled with Canada Geese right now. Thousands pass overhead every day. A sure sign that Spring is nearly sprung. I absolutely LOVE this time of year. Now if only Archer or some other Tiercel would show up to woo the gorgeous Beauty and fill the nest box with big white fluffs with big yellow feet! Keep watching the cameras everyone!

Rochester Falcons / Rfalconcam Now / Re: Two Pigeons in the Powers Building Nest Box at 10:56 am.

I would like to remind everyone that topics on the Rfalconcam Now board are being tweeted for the benefit of watchers in the field. Imagine the confusion a tweet with the topic "Two Visitors in the Powers Building Nest Box at 10:56 am" could cause. Please keep topics short and descriptive. In this case substituting "pigeons" for "visitors" would have avoided any confusion.
Oops, sorry about that. Won't happen again.

We do believe the Falcon on old Changing Scenes Restaurant was Beauty. She finally took off stooping down the north side of the building. Dana and I finally found her on the SW corner of B&L. She stayed there for about an hour, before taking off heading NW. I was not able to find her.

A man holds a pair of binoculars, one hand wrapped around each side. His fingers are curled like fists, and they come together making a strong symbolic statement. You’re looking at a two-fisted bird watcher, buddy.
Birders were once portrayed as ladies in tweed and guys who looked like bookish nerds. But tough men and women are birding and they’re not tweedy or nerdy. They’re Army Rangers on patrol.
They stalk wild animals: Spring migrants that were in a South American jungle a month ago. Or winter visitors that crossed the Canadian tundra to get here.
Bobcats and bears are cool, and we see a few. But birds come in wild varieties, and spotting them is a physical and mental challenge; a two-fisted sport.
You just can’t hold a pair of binoculars up to your eyes without putting up your dukes. The two-fisted bird watcher is here. Maybe, the two-fisted bird watcher is you.
I like it! and by the way, there is no tweed in my closet.

Actually Beauty did land on the Times Square Bldg one level above the nest box for a short while yesterday. She just hasn't been at the nest box since the other Falcon has stopped visiting. Over the past week, I've seen her on OCSR, the Hyatt, B&L, HSBC, Mercury statue, Midtown, Xerox, Widows Peak, Powers Bldg and the Time Square Bldg. We also believe she possibly flew out the Brewery and back. Possibly chasing off a RTH? Now if only Archer would make an appearance. This little birdy is just a morsel for our falcons. Looks like a starling to me. I also wonder why Beauty has avoided the nestbox. Watchers have seen her on OCS and HSBC this weekend, but no where near Time Square. Perhaps she wanted to avoid the crowds this weekend. Sure was a lot going on downtown.
