8386  Support / Camera Problems / Re: Main cam on: 13-Jan-10, 05:32:35 PM
This has been reported, so hopefully, soon, the camera will be pointing down at the nest box again.  If the camera could go higher, we'd get a lot of views of Beauty.  She (at least I think it was her) was up on the ledge above the ledge that is shown on main camera right now.  Quite a bit higher.

No Miss B.  RTH going stealth along the river.  Pigeons in fright flight @ ESL, no raptor. Pigeon feathers under tree @ HSBC.

Cirrus and Sir are quite the active pair.  A lot of fun to watch.

Wow!  A 6 Peregrine Week and none of them Mariah.  I wouldn't worry about her.  As I've said, she wouldn't be around much during this time of year.  Looks like we've got a bunch of migrants wintering here in Rochester.  I LOVE IT!!!   clap

WanderingFalcon (Carol P.): The plot thickens!  Dana reports that a banded juvenile peregrine knocked adult off KP Research Lab Bldg.  Adult flew east.  A 6 Pefa Week!

bang head frustrated Shocked surprise scared blue

this is the adult that might be Mariah right?  surprise

so was it aggressive or playful?

I can't answer that question, only Dana can.  But going on past behavior between juvies and adults, the juvenile may have just been looking for food from the adult.  and yes, we are hoping this might be Mariah, but until we get a positive ID, we can't be sure.

Good eyes Janet.  Yes, the video included both the Powers Bldg and the Times Square Bldg (just left of the Powers Bldg).   foxbinocs

and yes Donna.  There was a small window of no snow and I took advantage of it.   laugh

Did I see the Powers Building?  Just working on my ID skills Smiley

Great video - good thing you shot it during the 3 minute period when there wasn't white stuff falling from the sky!   Wink

Hmmm, where to put this.  There are no falcons in this video, just a 1/2 frozen High Falls and gorge.  Thought everyone might like to see how this area looks in the Winter.

Enjoy!

Excellent pictures Dana.  I do wonder if it's the same unbanded juvenile we were seeing awhile ago in that area.  S/he seems to be a good hunter.

I think Jeanne may have been talking about the male seen by Jim P the other day.  It would be great if it was Zephyr.   thumbsup

Hi,

I used to have battery heated socks for my 12 years of going to the Buffalo Bill's home games.  I know.  I was a glutton for punishment.   2funny

I guess you are  Wink  So, I'll simply ask, How 'bout them Cowboys?   laugh   football

I was at that Superbowl.  First one for the Bills.  They should have won.  Darn wide right.  Darn Scott Norwood.  Darn Bills.   paperbag

The snowflakes are beautiful.

The Frosted Falcon Flakes remains one of my favorites.  2thumbsup

Well, I was certainly one of those at noon today.  Eventhough the temperature reading is in the 20's and there's no wind, it's REALLY COLD out there!  One Red-tailed Hawk made it worth the frozen fingers.   clap

Keep this up and we'll have to take up a collection for you to go to Cabella's and buy the heat up hunting underware!   Wink  Daddy had some that were battery powered back in the 60s.
