We have never, in all the years Dave and I have been going to the Lake, seen Merlins It was a nice surprise 2thumbsup Saw 8 Loons in a group. Pictures aren't that good. No baby Loons this year. The Osprey young had already fledged. The Adults showed Dave how to catch Fish Shocked

The very cute blue eyed cat pops up and then it goes to a white screen and just spins and spins.  confused

hummer They are great fun to watch. I had them when I lived in Hamlin. 2 feeders hanging right outside the sliding glass door in the kitchen. Sat at the table for hours watching them perch on the pole that the feeders hung on and wait to dive bomb each other.  humming bird

It's Talon tag for Hummers.....the Juvies like to knock Dad off his spot. I think they all have a sugar high, maybe I should cut back on the sugar I put in...  2funny I have at least 3 Juvies and 2 adults right now.

Beautiful pictures of the hummers.  Like the goldfinch too! I will look for that feeder.  Thanks for sharing, ginha.

I got the Feeder at Wild Wings when we all met there a few weeks ago  clap

Every night I sit and watch these crazy little birds. Sometime I get a shot and other times they are just too fast for me. No need to sign in to look. Enjoy!!

I didn't get to do a lot of Falcon Watching this year so I spent some time with the Hummers. Got some good shots.

I was so busy watching the peregrines I almost stepped on a ground hog.

I was reminded last week that we used to call ground hogs "swearwords" here. Five points to anyone who can come up with the name of the person who originated it.

Was it Jim P. I seem to remember a video of him a long time ago. And from then on they were known as "swearwords"

Hi gang!  I'm home in one piece...a bit longer than usual due to some nig-nogs on the road doing 50 in formation and a few errands on the way home...

Neither cat seems particularly ticked at me, so that's excellent news!

What a great weekend!  A gazillion pictures which will have to wait for my arms to stop vibrating  Wink Saw babies, even if they weren't "ours", just flying for the joy of flying-my favorite part!  And, of course, the real reason, to spend time with friends!  flowers

Sorry I didn't get to see you this A.M. Got too humid for me. Looking forward to next time.
Take care Friend, ginha

A great time was had by Ei, Mak,Susan, Carrie, Shaky,Margaret, Joyce,Dave,Jenne and me at Wild Wings. Terry gave us a Tour and then she took us to School. It's a room for kids and others to have a close up look at these most wonderful Birds. I won the ID10T award for not putting my Memory Card back in my Camera after I put Hummingbird shots in the Computer...DUH!!!! We enjoyed bonding with Falcon Friends again this year.

I totally do not "get" posting anything new in the forum format so I hope this shows up somewhere.  At 10:58, I saw a very definite /pip crack in one egg in the Main Cam image.  I don't see anyone else posting about it so maybe the thread is somewhere else.
Kapi in VT
You did just fine Kapi!  I was watching Rhea Mae, so I didn't see it.  Had a feeling that's what was going to happen.  At least we know for sure on that egg...

we just wait til we know for sure what's going on
