Many many years ago, my mentor in Siamese Breeding had CFA's Best Siamese, who was in considerable demand as a stud. One nice lady, who was interested in starting a new line of Himalayan cats, asked to breed her Persian girl to him. That was OK, but Frodo stood back and clearly said, "Mom, I can't do this". The solution was to clip the girl down, whereupon he finally consented to do the deed... Carol now in WV
Good one, Carol!

Mac, sorry this reply is a couple days late, but the hubby and I saw a brown falcon atop a center median lamp post near the Blossom road exit of 590 N Wednesday afternoon the 28th to my Dad's in Irondequoit at about 1:30 and and again at 4:00 on the way back. Again on Friday we saw another falcon, also brown on 390 N on a light post at the Lexington Ave exit. Maybe you can will be able to catch photos in those areas. They both were good size and were pleasantly surprise to see them. Christiane
Ok thanks Christianne-we'll be sure to check around those areas. It's great having so many eyes to the skies! MAK - just to say (stop me if I've told you...) - I too have seen falcons in the Blossom area - last one was when visiting in Spring 2013, and it was heading southwards around Winton/Browncroft. Not as recent as this one, but obviously they quarter the area. G'luck!

That wonderful, wonderful man - Seamus Heaney - has gone. I am in tears. Working with him will remain a joy of my life.
