MAKfalcon (MAK): ST-just saw a falcon flying fast to the S over the river. First one I've seen since coming down with the flu on Saturday.

Personally, I think Tyson would be a super name for one of our falcons.  heart

I hope we can somehow influence this!

Let's keep this in mind when we're asked for nominations for a name to be chosen by the members of Rfalconcam.

I just put it out there, so I reckon it is a nomination.

Always good when someone with a quiet commitment is honoured.

Mary Tyson, your time with us will always be remembered. You have been a loyal follower of our falcons and a valued member of the Rfalconcam community. For that we will be forever grateful. May you rest in peace.

And thank you, Janet, for passing along this sad news to the group. I'm sure it wasn't easy.

A heart-felt tribute, Shaky.

Long time falcon watchers will remember Mary Tyson.  It is with much sadness that I share that her son Adam e-mailed me that Mary passed away this morning at about 8:20. She went peacefully and was in no pain. Mary was a rock and an inspiration!  I know that many here will miss her.

Thanks for letting us know, Janet. Very sad news. An inspiration indeed.

All these wonderful people - worldwide! - who work so hard for the wild things and places. And one complete poope who does this. I despair.

OK. I will accept "poope" - tho it is not the word I used. (And the word I used was not that offensive. Seriously.)

In case you hadn't heard, tonight's fireworks have been canceled.

News of the incident was carried on the BBC. I guess one does not expect their home town to feature in such a story. Well done to the forces for good.
