Seems I find out more about action in and around ROC when I am here, rather than there! So wonderful to see a few of you - and thanks to all for understanding that Family took precedence. Now that I am back at my desk... and with some gainful employment!... I'll be able to keep up.

Best to all and thanks again!

Hey to all in ROC!!!

Having been home for nearly 3 weeks, I am finally going to have some time (yaaaaaay!) this coming Sunday afternoon if anyone wants to play/meet up. I know it gets dark late, so we could just do coffee or something - whatever - as long as I get to see some of you... and your dogs! Either get back here, or email me - I can then ring around to see who's available.

Thanks for letting me do a general contact and I HOPE we can do this.

Slainte!

B.

Some of you have my phone, so gimme a buzz...

Thanks for all the fun this past season, everyone. Looking forward to getting back to ROC, where internet silence will descend for a while, til I work out that wretched wireless connection! Ick! Hope to see as many of you as I can... esp anxious to wheel MAK around in her sassy chair, all decked with balloons and one of those old "Honk! Honk!" bicycle horns...

I did not know kestrels would use nest boxes. There's a thing...

So. I guess I will be seeing this! Where else can you get a supporting cast including Anjelica Huston, Diane Weiss, Brian Denehy? (probably misspelled here...)

Sure hope the trailers have not shown us all the funny stuff - because I laughed! More than once, esp when recognising pretty much every situation with the Irish Birding Fraternity. Funny tho - they say "binocs" - we say "bins". I like "bins".

The review from NY Times... looking ok. Not mad about the "stars", but a super supporting cast.

"Astonishing" just does not do it!

Evil Got it with a second reading. This kind of thing is a perfect example of why proofreading is so difficult.

Dot in PA

And this editor/proofreader did NOT see it first time...

2325  Anything Else / Totally OT / Re: Work it out! on: 13-Oct-11, 08:29:57 AM
I found it on the second read.  Cleaver.  i have seen a piece with misspelled words but we could read it anyway, our brains just fixed it for us!  LOL!

Annie! Told ya! NO HINTS!!! (Of course, Shaky had to spoil it for everyone...)

Yeah, I should have posted my reply on the FAQ or Help boards where there wouldn't have been any chance of it being read.

Now you know.
