My mother's dogs go to a groomer who is a bird lover.  The groomer acquired a parrot of some sort whose previous owners were going through a divorce.  The bird would randomly squawk "F*** you, Michael, I'll see you in court!"  She had some very shocked customers. 

Splendid!!! Wonderful!!! GREAT laugh at the end (nearly) of the working day!!!

Just saw on the Cornell site that a second Whimbrel has been shot!

Well now! First para says August is when they leave - then further down, it says they left in June and July! So we are both right, Donna - and the BTO needs editing!!

[The first bird left the UK on the 3rd June and the last on the night of the 22/23 July.]

Why do they leave so early? In June? Pretty cool stuff Bobbie.

I did not retain that info re the June departure, Donna. Better read more carefully...
