Here are our glorious sweet peas - wish you could all experience their exotic aroma! Nothing like all the things Aafke has, since we only succeeded at potatoes and onions this year. Beans a total flop. But I can pick sweet peas every few days! I am going for the potager look next year... assuming My Digger gets out there and - uh - digs! We have an endless supply of good ole farmyard muck around here, plus our own compost. So all we need now is some cooperative weather... totally absent in the Summer of 2011.

I took these pictures last night with 85+ moon flowers in bloom!  The smell was heavenly!  Would LOVE to bottle that!

My sister in Rochester counts her moon flowers too, Annie. I get an almost-daily report when they are in bloom.

Oooooo, Good Luck, Happy Feet!!

Occasionally, there is a TV series broadcast on TV here re the work of Wellington Zoo. I have always been pleased to happen upon it, as they seem to have such a wonderful empathy with all their charges. So, if any group is going to do its best for Happy Feet, they're the ones.

Looking forward to seeing updates - with a mixture of hope and trepidation, tho.
