Kids' lemonade stand shut down. Woman fined for growing veggies in her front yard. Now this? Some people need a life.

Just saw this re good hummingbird plants on the DEC website... you would think we had them here!

Lure hummingbirds to your yard―naturally!

No sugar water needed. If your yard gets at least a half a day of sun, plant bee balm, salvia, tall garden phlox, red-hot poker or lupines to attract hummers. If it's on the shadier side, try coral bells, foxglove or cardinal flower.

We have many Hummer friendly flowers in our back yard but it's so much fun to see them at the feeders.

Fun to see them anywhere, as far as I am concerned! When I am home at the right time, I am hooked. And I can use all the attractants I can get in the gardens of family and friends. The feeders have to be top, tho, as they seem to linger.

Every site I look at is featuring that gull... must be a mega-tick!
