Not sure I am meant to reply to these posts... tho I am sure someone will give me a lash if I am wrong! Anyway... sure do hope that circus does not feature wild animals! This so fills me with anger!!! Most jurisdictions in IRL do not allow this, so I am hoping...
We certainly can respond here, but the responses are not tweeted out. And I agree... This particular circus is Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey, so unfortunately yes, there will be wild animals. I believe they even still parade the animals prior to the first performance, although this nasty weather may preclude that. I cannot believe that there is no protest about this!!! We who love our wild things would surely be in the forefront! I am scandalised to think of this happening in my hometown. Who is speaking for these creatures!? All very well to protest about environmental happenings elsewhere, only to have victims parading down our own Main Street. I cannot express the level of my anger!!!!!

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / A question...

Do Pefas only hunt for prey on the wing? That is, would they ever go to ground to get something like a chipmunk, rat etc.? Here, our Buzzards will forage on the ground for bugs and beetles, and I know raptors like owls and kestrels will hunt ground prey, but am wondering what happens with the Falcons. Ta!
