10.00am. Archer's back at NB. Such a faithful fellow.

With the storks and our falcons, there is too much sadness today! At least the ROC Falcons can only blame Nature.

Oh dear. So sad to watch! I think her vocalising made it even sadder. But if we are with them during the good times, guess we should be there during the bad.

05.38, and there is Faithful Archer in the NB. Awaiting word from MAK (if you are mobile today!) as to what's happening.

I could not look! How could that lad get himself in there in the first place? Still... it's not how he got in but how he got out! Phew!

Such sad news to wake up to this morning. But as someone else said here, we will not give up til Archer and Beauty do!

News from The Loch is also not wonderful, as there is now sign of hatching with the Lady. Mother Nature sure does make some tough decisions on our behalf.

I haven't done this for a year, so let's see if I remember.

Archer still in NB  I don't see B

Yup - 07.52 and A still in NB. Whenever I look at the cameras and see them still incubating so faithfully, I cannot help but admire their tenacity - and perhaps their optimism, should things take the turn which we fear they will.

I sent the picture of MAK's find on her watch of 5/23 on to a friend, who shared it with another friend who is an avid birder and photographer. He thinks it may be a Northern Goshawk.    I just looked at some images and the head size, facial markings sure are similar as is the size.  In some images the chest is quite light.  What do you all think?

Wow! Would that ever be a find for MAK!!

Thanks for posting, Donna. Anyone interested can go to the BirdLife Malta site on FB and "friend" it. The more who do, the better are the chances of making a difference, as they will suggest actions we all can take. I must make sure I find out what international visitors can do... I know some of you wrote before, but a bombardment is obviously called for. Thank you for whatever you may do.
