Some cats don't like to have their sleep disturbed.

$%#@& ALARM CLOCK!

I know how they feel... A most appropriate reaction, I find.

Always sad to read about dwindling populations, wherever they occur. What a stunner!

Didn't know rats ate birds! Bad enough cats do. Sad

I would guess - tho I stand to be corrected - that rats will predate the nests and the eggs. Perhaps the hatchlings too. Not sure about the adult birds...

Ok now that's cute!

Paul - wondering - where did the name "Zuzu" come from? It suits her perfectly.

Slainte!

I love the way it dances away whenever those paws come a tad too close.

If she's a 1st time mom, maybe Paul will see little Zuzu's at his feeder soon!  clap Did I hear Zuzu cam?  Cheesy

Yes! GREAT idea, Donna. Wouldn't that be fun? Go, Paul!!

Hmmm...
Interesting that she would leave the nest in that ugly weather  confused  She does look like she's nursing, however.  Perhaps she leaves in nasty weather and assumes that those who would enjoy her babies for a snack will stay put?

Or...who in their right mind would go looking for a snack in the rain? Only Zuzu knows. Wink

Maybe she just needs more "fuel" when it's cold and wet. Esp if she is a Mom now.

I wish she would visit me! Thanks, Paul...

There are reports of Irish swans suffering too. I have not discovered the reasons yet, but this was obviously a hard winter for many of our birds. I will post when I know...

I was just looking at this post and saying to myself "Mirta will be interested in this." And then I see that Mirta has posted it!!!

(See, Mirta! I DO understand a decent amount of the Spanish... Thanks for being patient with me.)

And yet they are allowed to get behind the wheel of a car.

I drive so slow on the Interstates that the seniors HONK at me!!!  Wink This is in the SLOW lane!

I am a fully paid-up member of the Let 'Em Beep School of Driving. Anyone want to join me??

(Some very "ouch!" moments in that clip... I laughed.)
