Newbies? What about me?! I still get confused, not having clapped eyes on everything in person - perhaps, tho, it is a matter of retention...

Seeing just a bit of what goes on behind the scenes makes me appreciate everything all the techno people do to let us see these marvelous birds - thank you to all of those in Rochester who keep things running so smoothly. It's so good that we have come to take it for granted... Amazing!

Really!

Me sainted Polish Mother-in-law, may she rest in peace, never failed to let me know just how disappointed she was that her Son married "an Irish".  That quote was on a mug she gave me for my birthday one year...my only gift from her, mind you.   rofl

Splendid, Ei! Bless her!

BTW - it is the American high school marching bands that always steal the show!

That's because they're the only ones who can walk in a straight line.

Re Ospreys... I keep checking the Scottish webcam to see if the remarkable Lady of Lowes comes back again. They have changed their website blog style and I have yet to find the cameras... but they may post those when things get moving...

good post It's VERY important to dispose of ALL chemicals at the proper facility and NOT in your garbage or down your drain! We don't use any chemicals in our yard and gardens which is why our lawn has alot of weeds. Hey, weeds are GREEN and birds love the seeds from those weeds. For instance, dandelion weed seeds are like eating chips for the birds. My house finches and white-crowned sparrows love them as do the house sparrows! Thanks Bobbie for sharing this important news  2thumbsup

We don't use any chemicals either - which is why our "lawn" is just green weeds too. The bees love the early buttercups. But I am having one problem, and that is with my Brussels sprouts (I grow those for Rod as I think they are evil!) and broccoli. The cabbage white butterfly loves these... and I am thinking (only thinking mind you) about whether I should use something on just those plants. Someone! Help me! I have tried netting etc. to no avail...
