So Rod says he needs a new phone (Uh... yuh!). And he gets it out and shows me how he can get the internet... check. And he can hear radio programmes. Check. So I ask him whether he can make phone calls, and he says: "No."

So I decide to take a break from proof-reading and I plonk myself at the piano for a little "Les Mis" - and Rod comes in shouting "Buzzards!" Of course by the time I get there, only one is left of the 3 he saw. Reckon it was a pair and a "prospector". Exciting! AND he heard their calls before he saw them. Clever lad. Have to keep looking now. We know they are around but, as is often the case, we never say where.
