I've got a frog in my throat... This burrowing owl was left with a huge pair of frog's legs dangling from its mouth when it tried to eat breakfast in one go. The bird struggled to gulp down its prey as it stood in a grassy field. Photographer Michael Cenci took this photo while on holiday near Cape Coral, Florida, US. He was delighted with the picture, which he calls "Frogleg Moustache" because the legs look like a handlebar 'tache.
Anyone remember "Froggie the Gremlin"???

(Put this in OT... tho you may think it might have fit well under "General Nature Discussion"... Scratch. Scratch-scratch...)
Head lice in Downing Street
British Prime Minister David Cameron has warned visitors to Downing Street to look out for nits after two of his children came home from school with head lice.
Mr Cameron told journalists arriving for a briefing that if they found their heads were itching, it was down to his daughter Nancy, seven, and son Arthur, four.
“If you find them when you get home, I apologise. Let me know and and I’ll send you a comb and some ointment,” he was reported as saying.
Mr Cameron’s spokesman dismissed suggestions that the problem was spreading through No 10.
“I think it is contained,” he said.

As you can see from the cameras, the storm is a non-event in Rochester.
I hear you about the excuses, Ei. All schools are closed here even though all roads are open. So unless the vast majority of students in a district walk to school, there is no reason the schools should be closed. Little Suzie and little Johnny are perfectly capable of walking to the end of the driveway and hopping on the bus.
No such thing as buses when we were school-goers... AND we didn't have shoes... at least that's what we tell The Kids... Shoes? we didn't even have feet. Reminds me of a Monty Phython skit... anyone know it? Maybe I wll be able to find it when my shiny new Big Mac arrives...

I knew you would not let me down, Donna! Love the Smiley! (And boy, are you ever up early!) Stay toasty over there, everyone - AND safe! You Falcon Watchers esp!! BTW... what does it take for the "authorities" to say: Stay off the roads. I know many of you will try to get to work today, no matter what. So who can say "No" to any travel?
