It is only a game Bobbie but we Americans take it to a fever pitched level just like the Europeans do with their football game soccer! Ohhhhhh, yes, MAK - for sure! I am a rugby girl myself, and the Six Nations season begins weekend after next. Rod leaves the premises. (I am a tad loud... sure wish I understood the rules, but those guys certainly are tasty... Bad Cougar! Bad Girl!)

A car salesman in suburban Chicago who was fired for refusing to remove a Green Bay Packers tie said he will not be coming back even though his former boss has relented.
John Stone wore the tie to work at Webb Chevrolet in Oak Lawn on Monday, the day after the Packers beat the Chicago Bears to advance to the Super Bowl.
Mr Stone said he wore the tie to honour his late grandmother, who was a big Green Bay fan.
But his boss, Jerry Roberts, said the dealership has done promotions involving the Bears.
He was afraid the tie could alienate the team’s fans and make it harder to sell cars.
Mr Roberts now says Mr Stone can come back, but Mr Stone says he will not. He has also been offered a job at another dealership.

Before I read, is this real sad? I think it is dreadfully sad, Donna! The female had to swim all those miles because of the vanishing sea ice. And the yearling cub that set out with her did not make it. AND - it is sad for all of us if this cannot be stopped. Worth reading tho - we never know when we might read something about which we can actually DO something! Tho what that is... My heart breaks for this heroic Mama Bear. So yes - a "Sad" warning.

Right! Up ye stand! A wee dram in hand!
(and if you can understand a word of this... Needless to point out, I did not do a spell check!)
ODE TO A HAGGIS
Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face, Great Chieftan o’ the Puddin-race! Aboon them a’ ye tak your place, Painch, tripe, or thairm: Weel are ye wordy of a grace As lang’s my arm
The groaning trencher there ye fill, Your hurdies like a distant hill, You pin wad help to mend a mill In time o’need While thro’ your pores the dews distil Like amber bead
His knife see Rustic-labour dight, An’ cut you up wi’ ready slight, Trenching your gushing entrails bright Like onie ditch; And then, O what a glorious sight, Warm-reeking, rich!
Then, horn for horn they stretch an’ strive, Deil tak the hindmost, on they drive, Till a’ their weel-swall’d kytes belyve Are bent like drums; Then auld Guidman, maist like to rive Bethankit hums
Is there that owre his French ragout, Or olio that wad staw a sow, Or fricassee wad mak her spew Wi’ perfect sconner, Looks down wi’ sneering, scornfu’ view On sic a dinner?
Poor devil! see him owre his trash, As feckless as a wither’d rash His spindle-shank a guid whip-lash, His nieve a nit; Thro’ bluidy flood or field to dash, O how unfit!
But mark the Rustic, haggis-fed, The trembling earth resounds his tread, Clap in his walie nieve a blade, He’ll mak it whissle; An’ legs, an’ arms an’ heads will sned, Like taps o’ thrissle
Ye pow’rs wha mak mankind your care, An’ dish them out their bill o’fare, Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware That jaups in luggies; But, if ye wish her gratefu’ pray’r, Gie her a Haggis!

No morning watch from MAK today, she is sick! Feel better MAK. Too much excitement from her Steelers win? Nah. just a stomach bug! Whoa-hoa! Don't talk to my sister about the Steelers' win! She decided to wear her less-than-pristine Jets track suit yesterday, as it had given them the Winning Formula before. Haha! Steelers and the Pack in the Super Bowl? Hmmmm... which one??
