OK-the white structure on the right side of the building-once upon a time there was an exterior elevator that went up & down there. The larger structure at the top is the "elevator shaft" the falcons fly into.

Well, I'll be! Thanks, Ei! Bobbie (Sorry - cannot seem to get the hang of only using part of a "quote"... I did, however, just figure out how to do Facebook - guilty secret! The nieces and nephews WILL be thrilled!)

This mornings watch was short but sweet! I arrived earlier than usual so I could walk over to under the elevator shaft of the OCSR building. Yesterdays watch with Joyce included seeing a falcon fly up in there so we wanted to confirm that someone was sleeping there at night. I'm sorry to say I...

...And I call him "Gordon".
Get outa here!
Broccoli purchased in the UK was found to have a live gecko living inside it.
Margaret Perthen, 62, screamed when she discovered the lizard inside the vegetable, purchased from supermarket Tesco, but quickly became attached to it because it had lost its tail.
She said: "I don't know who was the most [ie more] frightened - me or the gecko. I felt sorry for him, especially as he had lost his tail. I called it Gordon."
Margaret contacted a local vet in Gloucestershire who deals with exotic animals to help her deal with the creature.
Did he try to sell her ins?? All kidding, I would have fainted! He should have! Fainted? Ya think??

Good piece, Donna, esp re the seed getting mouldy. Here, lots of people put out peanuts, and these can get mouldy too, so they are no-nos when that happens. I wonder... does anyone know whether this applies to mouldy bread? I do not put it out, but Rod seems to think it is fine. Hmmmm... Mostly, this bread goes out to where the Corvids feed... and again, Rod reckons if they eat carrion, what's the prob with mouldy bread??
Slainte!
