This is where I see the antenna, the black line. Can't draw a straight line as I am a lefty but use a righty mouse!  stupid

WOW, everyone! Well done! (Right or left, I still wouldn't be able to sort it out.)

Wouldn't it be amazing to look into the eyes of a wild Mountain Gorilla?! This is a fascinating piece, with the silverback dating back to the days of Dian Fossey. Watch for the BBC series, if you can. Maybe online?

The things people do! Imagine trying to carve this baby. (And exactly how did they weigh it??)

I am always fascinated by the many Sparrow spp. you can see in the States! So many sparrows - so bad at IDing them.

Yes, it is cold here this AM and the ground is frosty white at our house!

I saw that ROC was meant to get its first (?) frost of the season. Do you think this will give Archer a longing for warmer climes? Tomorrow - the 11th - is the day he left last year, I think. That would be remarkable.

Lovely sunrise, Donna!

What an image, Donna! Thanks! We had a Kestrel Encounter the other evening too - hovered over the garden for ages, then made a dive into the field below. We thought he was in luck, but soon after, he popped up on his "plucking-post", empty-taloned. It was quite breezy, yet that hover was perfect. No photo-grab for us, tho...

As for the Mantis... when the family was at Atlanta Zoo last year or so, the wee great-nephew was more fascinated with the mantis he discovered on path verge than in most anything else.

Can't say I'm impressed by the suspended sentence...

Donna, if it weren't for you, I would not know what is happening on my own doorstep! Where'd ya find this? Guess I am just checking the wrong sites.

You might actually be able to get that RTE programme re the eagles. They do have a player, and I know Rod uses it when he has missed something... tho not everything goes online. Anyway, google the following and see what happens. I am guessing the programme will not be online til after it is broadcast on Tuesday... g'luck!

You guys are killing me!

The more common it seems, the more confusing it is! And to me, it seems like a Sparrow... but not a gannet.

I hope Donna does not mind if I send you towards this site with their activities over the past week, esp the pine marten - great little guys, confined pretty much to the west of Ireland. Have only seen one, but it was my pleasure!

Ok...take that!

Only fair that I don't play this one, as it could be a photo of our garden in winter. Bird sp., holly and all!

Sweeeeeet little chap... Snow Bunting??

Just in case Donna decides to be technical about it we'll say Snow Bunting in winter plumage. It's your win though Bobbie!  wave  gum
