Hi Aafke,

I was so busy watching the Oehoe that I missed the whole thing about the nuthatch. The Oehoe has at least one hatchling, how do you call them in English? Owlschicken ?

Thanks Carla

That's a nice idea Carla, but the right word is owlets. I also looked a lot at the Oehoe (Eurasian Eagle-Owl) Yesterday morning I woke up at 6 and went to the computer to look at them (how stupid or is it addicted can you be?)

Thanks Donna, I'm happy to be back, specially to see Archer and Beauty and all other webcams.

The nuthatch is doing a great job, the hole is almost closed. Today the nuthatch did a lot of work by bringing pieces of branches inside and making them smaller and digging in the pile of branches.

I think a Barn Owl is such a special and strange bird.
I really like this webcam.

Kris, I love them, I just looked for a short time and saw owlets, wow
The fluffy thing in the beak of the owl is a prey, it looked like a rabbit orso

The Eurasian Kestrel webcam:
It's a part of "Beleef de lente" what means "enjoy Spring"
Well it's the same story like last year
First the pigeons came in the nestbox, the female laid 2 eggs and was brooding for a few days.
Than the jackdaws came, they chased away the pigeons and destroyed the eggs.
The jackdaws were busy with taking out branches of the nestbox.
Now the jackdaws weren't seen for 2 days.
Yesterday the Kestrel came.
Who knows who will be next?
