Please don't be sad. Athena was past her prime. But she is probably close. The new pair will contribute to the peregrine population as they should. I have enormous respect for Athena.

There is some strong evidence, e.g. pictures from Eric, that E.C. may be taking up with the female who frequents the Campbell water tower.  When visiting San Jose, I always check out the tower which is close to where I stay.  I have photographed the Campbell peregrine for a couple of years.

It looks like it is about 1/3 to the west on the Tappan Zee just from the video.  Can't stop on the bridge, but I can check from Sunset Cove and Kingsland Point Park.  It would only be visible by spotting scope from a very long distance.  They must hunt in both Tarrytown and Nyack.

It's going to be tough to be a boot on the ground for this one!

Guess I should be checking here more often.  I never know the band numbers of the Riverside Church birds.  I do have pictures of the fledglings from this year.  Was this bird spotted at the Meadowlands DeKorte?  They have had quite a few young peregrines there lately.

Thank you yet again for showing me great hospitality in Rochester.  The juvies certainly put on a wonderful show for the visitors.  Please enjoy my pictures.
