Looks like she got soaked by a couple of things.  Too bad she couldn't have been in the rain to wash up after the feeding.

Little stinker did stay out there all night

It's probably the only clean place near the box.

Her feet will eventually change, some just take longer than others, no circulation problems.

I think she visited blue Oz and drank some of that blue water or curaçao.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.  As I think has happened in the past, we just gather pretty informally and watch the falcons.  Yes, we do potluck breakfast.  Is Corn Hill a big craft festival kind of thing?  It is held in the Corn Hill area next to the falcon area.

That's quite a lot of movement on the part of the eyas.  Pretty risky going into the box to get them.  So, maybe they won't be banded this year? 

Big news to report.  The female we named Athena has been 99 percent verified as being 18 years old.  My friend Mike got enough band numbers to put with the other numbers we have to get enough of the band to get her banding place and year. 

She was hacked outside Maiden Creek, PA in 1995.  She has been in Jersey City since 2001 or so.

To give credit where credit is due.  This is from Urban Dictionary , and this is today's "word of the day".  I thought it fit this picture, and I had just finished viewing Beauty feeding her babies,   and remember all the "Nom, nom"  from Orion!   


June 13: Slam Nom     

 

To eat a large quantity of food () rapidly due to extreme hunger.

I didn't have any breakfast or lunch, so I totally just slam nommed a large pizza.

Dude, I'm starving. I'm going to slam nom some pork rinds when we get home.

I wasn't going to be a bad ass, but ...  The gender neutral seem to be really masculine to me.   

But I voted in all three categories anyway.

Now THAT is a poop shot!

At least we know they are really eating!
