I think our new male should be named Brian. Just because.

Oh, no!  My hometown birds are in trouble.  Sounds like Blackwater all over again on the other coast.

That's my friend, Francois. He must be back in NYC.  Not the birds, the photographer is my friend.

We had a visit from Ann and Paul Schnell and their eagles.  Here are some pictures of Liberty.  I met them very briefly.  I quickly told them you guys there in Rochester are responsible for my birding activities.

Anyone know who the NY State owner is?  I have some ideas.

Oh, darn. I don't keep track of the birds I see.  It is soooooo competitive down here about that.  But now you've thrown down the gauntlet. I am counting at Croton Point Park Nature Center for Saw Mill River Audubon's Project FeederWatch.  And I will be counting eagles for Bedford Audubon.  Guess I'll keep track from now on. My six year old grandson gave me a bird journal for Christmas.

Thanks, all.  I got an early retirement present for myself - a humungous lens!!  The boys are going to get me a sherpa to carry it.  And I will have my photos up mid-January through the first of March at Teatown Lake Reservation in honor of EagleFest and the eagles!

Hope to make it to Rochester this year and see fledglings.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

I am doing Project Feeder Watch at the Croton Point Park Nature Center with Saw Mill River Audubon.  It is fun to say the least.  And it is a great blind for watching the eagles on the Hudson.  Check out my blog:
