I don't think it looks like the red tail picture.  Check out the hood and eyes far apart.  Cold peregrine all puffed up keeping warm.  Eyes and wings are not like a red tail. Where was the bird?

Does look like an indention. Maybe a puncture?  Keeping fingers crossed in any case.

Peregrine.  Note hood and eyes. Black wing feathers.

My new camera club put up some of my pictures at our local church.  Here are the pictures.  It is quite an honor for me.  Not all are up and I have another three that I forgot to tag.  But anyway, enjoy:

Three boys, one girl.  Thanks for all the nice comments.  I'll put up a post in Totally OT.  Something great happened to me last week that involves my pictures.

I was down again on Saturday morning.  The birds accommodated me.  They are so easy to photograph at only 14 floors up and I stay by my car right under them.  Just learned that they did not band the smallest one because he was ... too small!  Here is another link with photo story:

And here are my pictures.  First is Rocky soaring around the building and next is Jubilee watching over the kids who are starting to peek over the edge!!

I was down on Saturday morning and got to see both adults flying and perched on 101 Hudson.  Hopefully the building tenants will name the birds this year.  I want to name our hospital bird Rocky because he is such a fighter.

The birds are 42 floors up and I am two blocks away using my SLR with 300 Prime lens, no teleconverter.

Just looked at the cam. Leave the girl alone.  She looks content and sleepy. It's like she's saying "If they hatch, they hatch.  If they don't, they don't.". Archer seems to be taking care of both his girls. IMHO.

Isaura was and remains my favorite falcon of all.  I guess it is because she was so darn big.
715  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Linn - Scarborough/Yellow Pages on: 21-May-11, 07:38:00 PM
I passed the info and link on to NJ Fish and Wildlife.  But they have their own Linn from 101 Hudson, aka Jersey City, also named in 2008.  Again Linn P is turning over in her grave.  I expect an email from her shortly, if they have email in heaven.

It's just that we have so many celebrities to watch down here.  Truthfully, there are only four or five of us who really go to the bird sites.  And even at the height of Pale Male's notoriety, they might only be two or three people around.

Duke Farms may be showing the banding of the eaglets live on Friday, May 20, 2011.  It will be around 10:30 - 11 if they do.  I'm trying to confirm.

Wow, Kathy never told us about that one.  It does look like nice 'digs.'

Our eyas has splayed legs and is getting treatment. There is hope that it will have some kind of falcon life. When Kathy was taking it on Saturday we expected the worst.  So this was very good news to hear.

The other two eyases remain healthy with one being the bully and always taking the food first. No one will mess with her when she grows up.

Yup.  Lots of evidence about that.
