I am having serious doubts about hatching. But I will be there, young birds or not. The area is lovely and there many things to do, aka Lake Ontario and environs. Plus the falcons will still be around. AND the falcon watchers are the best group ever. We are trying to build something down here, either Jersey City or Water Street.

Donna, there are two very healthy eyases at 101 Hudson. The third would not have been able to compete with the other two for food. It is being checked. That's all I know right now. Nestbox News will have the official info.

The names are even more fitting when you learn that the eyases typically fledge on Memorial Day weekend. They make it back to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial where they are retrieved by the building and put back in the scrape. But they do that flying thing again real soon. I was down yesterday and saw Jubilee and Rocky right before they shot off over the Hudson toward Brooklyn via the Brooklyn Bridge:

I was again honored by being able to go up during the chick check of the one week old eyases. Here are some pictures: Athena (Mike and I named her and Linn P is probably rolling in her grave) gave it 110% again to get rid of the intruders: Notice the emerging pin feathers on the one on the left. One of the eyases is going to the vet to be checked. I'll let you know the outcome.
