We have all but one or two of her FW numbers.  Before 1999 or so not all peregrines got the colored bands.  She is at least 11 years and probably banded in PA.  Not all the birds banded that year got the other bands.  There is no chance they fell off or that a mistake was made with the record keeping.   Kathy Clark, NJ biologist, has contacted numerous people about the numbers we have for her.  She was banded on the east coast.

I'm glad to know he is back.  But the fact that he didn't go up seems to be a problem.  Fortunately, you have a great watch crew there.  I'm hoping for a good ending like we had in Jersey.

Can Calli send him her Get Out of Jail Free card?

This is worse than being the parent of a very active child.  Tell Jemi all his mommies and daddies and aunties and uncles and grammies and grandpies hope he is just fine and we want him back in the sky ASAP!

Tell him we won't be at the Crowne Plaza until July 15.

I am amazed at how quickly the fledglings become proficient aerialists.

I refer everyone downstate here to rfalconcam to get a sense of what watching really is.  I just hope my friend Mike joined.  You guys are awesome.

Oh, no!  Another empty nest.  But the view is beautiful.  We can't judge Calli.  She made it.  That's the most important part.

I guess we are on for the July 16-18 party.

Way to go, Jemison!!  Hope to see you in the skies in July.  All the Green Cheeks, Parakeets, Gray and Scarlet Macaw wish you well.  Now, Callidora just has to join her.  Best guess?  Tomorrow?  As in Calli will come out tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow....

Thanks, Carol.  I forgot about the blogs.

I don't mean to be a bother, but I am having trouble following the fledge watch reports.  It might help if instead of a different topic for each watch the posts could be under one per day.  Do you anticipate getting a lot of discussion for each watch report?  I don't know, but I love to read the reports and I have time now.

Mike and I had the extremely exciting pleasure of returning our fourth girl to the top of 101 Hudson today.  She flew out of the box fast and strong.  Both adults were there to welcome her back.  We never did see all four together after the release, but we did see three apparently eating on the 39th floor terrace.  And then we had one on the roof top.  She took out after the male and put on a stupendous aerial display to show she could take prey on the fly.  Looked they had the leg and thigh of a big shore bird.  Looked like our biggest girl.  Her wing span is enormous.

I put together a YouTube video.  It is big and long.

Dale, I know what you mean.  I had heart failure when they flapped at Water St over the FDR.  And when the first fledgling landed on the sign right over the road and sat and flapped and jumped for over 3 hours, we all needed our blood pressure medication tripled.

Getting close now.  Where are our pictures from the street?  Get those Canons and Kodaks out (as if you guys don't sleep with them turned on and ready to go)  LOL

Much cleaner up there.  Ouch, I could feel the wing bump.
