The most recent ones open as big as they'll get from the CPF site.  The giant ones take a bit more work...
Just found one that's small...will tweak it...brb...

(Just realized I misread Ei's post... sorry. Well, for those who are visual...)

Here's how to access the large CPF photos.
Right-click on the thumbnail image and copy the link location.

Paste it into the address bar. Cut off the underlined parts.

Here's an interesting outcome of a volcanic eruption - glass rain!

The volcanic GLASS cloud: How tiny shards created by heat of Iceland eruption have 'rained' on Scotland

Quote
Scientists have released photographs of what they believe are volcanic glass particles from Iceland which fell on Scotland this week.

The samples were taken from a car windscreen in Aberdeen and analysed at the city's James Hutton Institute.

The images of the tiny particles were taken using a scanning electron microscope.

Scientists said it was ‘highly likely’ the glass particles, which are part of the ash constituents, came from the Grimsvotn volcano which started erupting on Saturday.

Commercial glass is created by heating silica, or sand, to an extremely high temperature. Sand scorched by lava could do the same.

The largest of the particles found is 0.03mm across, with the smallest measuring just 0.002mm wide.

The institute also analysed samples given to them by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) taken in Lerwick, Shetland, which matched the particles taken from the car window.

Evelyne Delbos, the institute's head of electron microscopy, said: ‘We analysed the same sample on the same day from Lerwick and it had the same elemental composition.

‘It is highly likely the particles came from the Grimsvotn volcano but until we have a reference sample to compare we cannot confirm.’

Why is Archer out so early. Next to main cam.
Is he overly egg-cited and where does Beauty go at 3:30 am?

This is the second morning he's been in so early. Prior to this he wasn't showing up before 5:30, according to the brood chart.

I'm hoping Beauty is all right after the dust-up early yesterday a.m. that got Archer up so early. He seemed to have the eggs a lot more yesterday.

My guess is if she strained anything between her altercation with Unity or yesterday, she has to move more to keep everything limber. Sitting too long could help make her stiff; if this is the case, thank you, Archer, for stepping up to the nest box!

5:33 Archer made warning kaks, then stepped off and flew off to the Kodak Tower side to defend the nestbox. He returned a couple minutes later.

There was an early morning disruption today. Beauty flew off unexpectedly with just a couple squeaks at 4:04, and the eggs were uncovered for a bit. At 4:11, there were warning kaks off-camera, and about a minute later, Archer landed on the platform. He surveyed life for a bit, then came and started brooding, hyper-alert. A couple minutes later, Beauty landed on the platform for just a second, checked in with Archer, and then dropped off the platform to fly away.

Keep an eye out on the outer edge of the platform. The cam actually caught Archer's approach, and Beauty's one second appearance! (Okay, it was probably two, but still amazing that it was captured.)
(movie)

All eggs are still intact.

At 4:30, Archer is still quite alert, but he appears to have relaxed a bit.

Beauty checked in at 4:15 and then flew off. (Fuzzy Cam 1 shot originally.)
