"Yes, the eggs are still there, yes, they're covered, and what are you looking at?"

407  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Quest's new CPF page on: 20-Apr-11, 02:31:41 PM
I know this must have been posted and I missed it, sorry - but who owns the building (and the office!!!) where Quest's scrape actually IS? The photo ops from BRC are outstanding, but who actually has her on their windowsill?

The address is 220 Duncan Mill Road, Toronto. If google results can be trusted, it appears to hold a variety of businesses, including a caviar supplier, an early education reading program, a real estate development corporation, and a computer repair company... unfortunately, no suite or floor numbers are given.

The only good way to find out to call Harlequin and see if they know who is there... or a road trip... Grin

Lincoln Karim's has a daily Pale Male picture site, with low and high res images. Click on each image, and there are lots of pictures underneath...

I agree, Bonnie, I do like Paul's better, but the daily documentation is pretty interesting, and includes other critters as well.

Just wanted to give a nod to Carly, who had most of what I posted here on a thread already up on the Satellite Tracking portion of the Forum (appearing earlier in this combined thread). She was much more timely about it... gum

Yes, that's Nova - he brought her to Harlequin headquarters to give them an up-close view of a peregrine.

A couple of news articles:

Toronto Star from Sunday.
Kendal with prey

Toronto Star - first egg, with news that evidently Kendal fought off a would-be suitor.
Quest in the scrape

412  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Video of Quest and Kendal from the Harlequin building on: 20-Apr-11, 11:13:51 AM
Both excellent videos, with both birds, and mating scenes...

Quest's new CPF page is now under Toronto - Don Mills. We can follow the adventures of her Harlequinesque romance with Kendal, of Toronto origin.

A link in their Harlequin article (click on highlighted Quest) points to the defunct marchlords.com website. I don't know what the new one is, but is there any way to contact them and have it updated?

!!! Holding Tight
April 17, 2011 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre
Linda Woods Reports:

Rhea Mae and Tiago are holding tight to the eggs the past two days, due to the weather. High winds and rain yesterday, had them move the eggs closer to the camera and out my live view. Today more rain, snow showers and just plain cold. They weren’t moving for anything. Hopefully tomorrow with sunshine we’ll get a better view

Observation for Toronto - Sheraton Centre

They don't like the yucky weather any more than we do!

There are photos of more than just wildlife, but a lot of them are just amazing! Weather, birds, insects, landscapes... and this is just for the first quarter of 2011...

I got there from the challenge "The Hardest Shot I Ever Took", which has an amazing picture of a cormorant drinking as it is flying, among other things...

This web quest started over on the NYFalls website with a discovery of, I believe, a Rochester area native who started taking photographs of snowflakes as a way to stay sane and also enjoy this winter...

Hope everyone enjoys...

Does anyone know what building is this on? I really like the weathered copper winding across the image. It was taken by Cam 1 at 11:58 this morning.

Any way to get it back to the nest box automatically when someone stops controlling it?
