OK, Ei...you're pretty good at reading these. Can you (or anyone) please parse this for me? Because I have NO idea what I'm looking at here.
It sort of looks like the two little ones in front, and either the adult, wings folded, pulling in a large pray item (with its body or tail just coming in the box), or else someone has entered the nest box. Since both munchkins are currently curled up sleeping, I'm going with the first suggestion.

Here are two different article about clouds: The first is a long but fascinating view of clouds from space, with some descriptions of how they form - including how islands, lakes, and ships affect cloud formation. (In western NY, we're VERY familiar with lake effect, but it's really neat to see what it looks like from space.) Weird Clouds Look Even Better From Space * By Betsy Mason | May 12, 2010 | 7:03 pm | Categories: Earth Science Lake effect, western Great Lakes Island effect, Greenland ----- The second has a series of seven unusual formations, taken from earth, but explains how each takes place. Other Nature Related Information / General Nature Discussion / Next gen radar gets trial by tornado in Oklahoma

Oklahoma Tornado Tests New Radar The National Weather Center offices in Norman, Oklahoma had a unique opportunity to test the latest weather radar technology as a tornado formed nearly over their heads in Norman during May 10, 2010, apparently slightly damaging the building and roof antennas. Although there was tragedy and deaths related to the tornado outbreak, the silver lining was the incredible data set that was gathered with the new phased array radar (PAR) system that will lead towards better understanding of severe storms and tornadoes, and ultimately lead to earlier warning and preparedness for the public. The existing network of NEXRAD radars (Next Generation Radar) across the United States consist of 159 WSR-88D systems (Weather Surveillance Radar 88 Doppler - the 88 representing 1988 when the technology was established). They are operated by the National Weather Service, an agency of NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). Phased Array Radar compared with NEXRAD WSR-88D The phased array radar system has been used in the military for some time and is now being tested for use in weather applications. It scans much faster than the existing Doppler radar systems, as fast as 8 seconds for focused areas of interest and 20 – 30 seconds for a complete scan (the WSR-88D takes 5 minutes to perform a complete scan). The existing WSR-88D scans a single beam of energy into a section of atmosphere, tilts up higher, scans another slice, tilts up, etc.. until that section of atmosphere is completed at which time it starts over and moves to the next section of atmosphere and repeats until a full volume scan is completed. This process takes about 5 minutes. The phased array system doesn’t physically tilt, but instead uses multiple beams, making it much faster. This will enable much more detailed tracking and rapid observation of changes that are occurring within a storm and may increase lead time of tornado warnings to 45 minutes.

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / C&C Photos of Cheyenne stooping

This is the first set of photos I've ever seen of a wild peregrine stooping, compliments of Chris & Chad again, from May 8. I'll post one, but there are four all together, and they almost look photo-shopped because Cheyenne is such a compact shape and so sharply in focus. Simply fascinating! (And intimidating if you are the target! )

Sadly, I think Glenn Neville passed away a couple of years ago. I think that is at Morro Bay. If you go to scprg and check out the web site you might see it active again.
He is still blogging. Here's his About page. About Glenn Nevill
Take care of the world and it might take care of you… (Don’t take care of it and we’re all pretty much screwed.) Words to live by, really. I use this blog and my photography website to inspire people to take care of the planet, to care about what happens to the environment and do the right thing by it. Doing design/drafting which I love, involves sitting in front of computer, so when lunchtime comes I head out in search of bird life in the city. During the nesting season, my lens will be most likely focused on a falcon if I can find it and just about anything else that flies if not. My goal in photography is to bring to others the joy of flight and the incredible speed and grace that birds exhibit. I hope it will awaken a greater appreciation of nature and the need for conservation of all that we hold dear on this planet. Married to Charlene, my favorite person. I make a living drafting, designing, and occasionally photographing birds. Home: San Francisco, California since 1980, before that, Houston Texas. Hobbies: Wildlife photographer, falcon watcher, listening to pod casts and radio dramas Favorite Quotes: Much of the suffering of this world is caused by us, our fears, our greed, our prejudice…As we awaken, through kindness and compassion, the world changes… (Tom Lopez, aka Meatball Fulton of ZBS Media) Let us live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry. and… The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug. Rochester Falcons / Rfalconcam Website News / Re: Testing a new way to display our camera views

6 views? I get main camera (larger) on top, then main again below plus camera 1 & 2 and 1/2 of 3
This is all I get too on my laptop and hubby's computer. Works good on my Ipod though. ???
Again, refresh the page or quit your browser and relaunch. If you use a large font view, the camera views could be off to the right. Try scrolling right and see if they are there. If so, try hitting <Control><-> on your keyboard to make the font smaller, which will also affect the width of your view. To make your font bigger again, hit <Control><+>.
