Question:   Wasn't Pigott seen during the summer/fall with missing feathers/disheveled due to a bad storm we had?  Christiane

What about the Eastman dorms Bldg. on Gibbs?  They have the river, big open parking lot between the dorms and Chestnut S, definitely higher than the Powers Bldg.  Wonder if that would work--just thinking. . .

35  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Falcon 590South near Browncroft Blvd on: 04-Nov-13, 02:16:45 PM

Today, at 120pm, we caught sight of a falcon perched on the center lamp post, three posts north of Browncroft exit on 590 South.  It had a snowy white breast...

36  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Farmington Cabbage Patch Peregrine on: 29-Sep-13, 12:37:31 PM

On the way to the Naples Grape Fest yesterday (9/28), we spotted an adult peregrine on the east side of Route 332 just south of the Farmington Townline Road on the way into Canadaguia.

He was perched on a power cable looking intently at the cabbage field for a snack.  It was about 1:30pm.  No sight of him when we returned about 5pm.

Mac, sorry this reply is a couple days late, but the hubby and I saw a brown falcon atop a center median lamp post near the Blossom road exit of 590 N Wednesday afternoon the 28th to my Dad's in Irondequoit at about 1:30 and  and again at 4:00 on the way back.  Again on Friday we saw another falcon, also brown on 390 N on a light post at the Lexington Ave exit.  Maybe you can  will be able to catch photos in those areas.  They  both were good size and were pleasantly surprise to see them.  Christiane

The juvie at the nestbox appears to have a red band, Voyager?  I was able to zoom in on the picture.
41  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: 2013 Pictures from the Rfalconcam Cameras on: 15-Aug-13, 08:52:44 PM

I kept hitting the plus sign on my computer to magnify and it was a juvie with red band; that would be Voyager.   Christiane

Allison, It definitely appears to be Bobbin; I see the same 12 over T2; the same as in the pic with her on the rock ledge.  I missed seeing her, too.  What a beauty she is and nice to see her up close over the years.  Beautiful pics you caught!

I enjoy that webcam and had thought the bat falcon from earlier years was gone, but when I saw it, I thought I'd better save the pic till I could figure out how to send it on.  It's a real beauty of a falcon.  It was on the cam for a very long time.  I haven't seen it since then.
