Looks like last year's female, LF15, has returned to the nest already!  Tidying up and looking right at home.

She is a cutie!  So good to hear of a Woodmen offspring - it so seldom happens.  Thanks for the update, Alison.

Sounds like Archer Sad

Thank goodness the building folks moved him from the other well and placed him in this 'home' well.  We need to give them a big group hug for that.  I'll be glad when DEC gets there and retrieve Bronx.

This is a great video clip!  I was chuckling at my desk at Dorothy's looks.  She looked at the cam as if to say 'and you all thought something was wrong with my baby"!  And Patsy is correct - the youngster does have a similar fierce determined look, like Beauty and Cadence.

The youngster is looking really great, and just based on size (perched next to Dorothy) is looking more like a female to me.  Juvie feathers are looking good, wingercizing and getting up on the green perch bar - coming along nicely!  This pic was posted on the Pitt Peregrines Facebook page this morning.   yahoo

Thanks Kris.  Never sure if they actually have anyone watching there, so this was good to hear.  2thumbsup

Looks like the flying begins at Woodmen.  Posted today on Woodmen's site:  "It looks like the young falcons are starting to fly the coup, literally. Sunday morning, one of the female falcons accidentally hopped out of the nest and over the side causing concern among falcon watchers. The falcon managed to land safely on the fifth floor balcony. Mom knows where the bird is and will continue to care for the youngster. Raptor Recovery officials advise that the bird will eventually fly back to the nest or to another building. Two more falcons are on the 28th floor ledge and can be seen in cameras 1 and 2. They should soon join their big sister in making their first flight. The whereabouts of the fourth falcon is unknown. We suspect she successfully completed her first flight and is perched on a nearby building. As the birds continue to grow and strengthen their wings, they will make longer and longer flights. And soon, Mom and Dad will be teaching them how to hunt for food."

Great names you guys selected.  What color tape does Genesee have?  I got Cadence = blue, and Bronx = red.  Did not see where the color/numbers were noted.

Thanks Donna.  That is what I've been hoping would be the case.  It's good to know others are watching who are more learned on the issues involved, too.
