Morning watch 4-11-14

The starting temp this morning was 47 (F) 8 (C) with a mix of sun and clouds
Once again I was detained by the livestream video at the nest box-I have a hard time leaving it lately! lol Turns out I should have stayed a little longer because while on my way downtown there was a mating session on the deck as told to me by Donna!!! When I arrived around 6:45am Beauty was on the deck. I parked in the hole by Keybank to observe.
About 5 minutes later Beauty spotted DC coming in with food and he made sure to announce it by chirping to her as he landed under the northeast wing of the Times Square building (TSB). Beauty startled DC by flying up and plopping down in front of him and grabbing the food. She must have been famished as she immediately started plucking the feathers.
DC took off over to the Mercury money bag (MMB). He did some preening while Beauty ate under the wing. DC was doing a lot of rousing (shaking himself making his feathers foof up).
Around 7:15am Beauty finished eating and flew north with the leftovers while DC stayed on Mercury watching his territory and eggs. 
10 minutes later Beauty flew in landing on the main cam and DC left the MMB. Just a couple minutes later Beauty watched DC fly in to mate with her on the main cam then he flew to the MMB once more. Here are Beauty before pics as DC flies in. Mating was video taped
The Beautyful one started preening right after they were done like nothing had happened-aren’t they something?!
DC left Mercury some time around 7:40am but I missed it. Beauty was on the main cam preening so I left to check the Brighton site (BS) at this time. As I pulled in the main driveway I could see DC up on the antenna plain as day-I had time for one pic before he flew off to the southeast right into the sun where I lost him.
I hung out 10-15 minutes but he didn’t come back. No Pigott and on juvie were seen while I was there. Just before I left Annette tweeted that beauty was on the front perch of the nest box so when I returned to downtown I went out on the Broad St. bridge where I could see and sure enough she was still there. Thanks Annette! Beauty went in the box a few minutes later and laid down on her eggs. I didn’t see DC around so I called it a watch at 8:45am smiling! 🙂
