Looks like the three youths who murdered 15 Laysan albatrosses and destroyed 17 eggs and 17 nests in Hawaii in December of 2015 may get off easy, unfortunately.

crying That's unbelievable and a real disgrace!!! Sad I hope they throw the book at those murdering youths, but I won't hold my breath.

I followed the story after it happened in 2015 and this creep needs to pay for what he did to those beautiful birds, their nests and eggs.  I hope the nest site visit happens and that the judge sees that the sentence must fit the crime! Unfortunately, as the article says, the other 2 have already settled their cases in Family Court, their records as juveniles are sealed and they now have a clean record.

Not nearly good enough! Disgusting verdict for all concerned! Killing the albatrosses was evil enough but torture is beyond the pale. Sometimes I am very ashamed to be a member of the human race.
